Inishowen 1sts continued there winning ways in Ulster junior 4 with a comprehensive win over a determined colraine side. With 3 wins under there belt and a weeks break next week, they,re nicely set up for sterner tests down the line.
Taking nothing away from colraine ,who battled admirally to the end. With inishowen claiming most of their own lineout ball, and colraine doing the same, having the most accomplished lineout seen yet. There was loads of clean ball to distribute to all areas of the park. But there was one major difference that dictated the outcome of this match. As inishowen spread their ball they continuously broke the gain line.

With a combination of over'em,round'em and thru'em,and some nicely positioned kicks,it was not a matter if they'd score,it was a matter of how much.Colraine on the other hand, with just as much source ball, were continually tackled 10 metres behind the gain line.Which would result in them kicking possession back to the inish boys who then proceded to go over'em,round'em and thru'em.It was a pattern that would see inishowen score 5 tries, 5 conversions and 1 drop goal.

The try scorers were Shane McDaid,Conor Mulkerns,Robin hutchinson(2) and Paul McMeniman who also got a drop-goal.And 5 conversions by Finn McCormick......It was a very good performance from the boys or as coach Kevin Gallagher would say -"FANTASTIC !".But we can always get better. And i think thats the attitude that all players and backroom staff have instilled in each other.
It's great to rack up a few scores, but There will be much tougher teams to come. And I'm sure a 3 point win over grovenor or Academy will would be a much sweeter victory.
