A new weekly organic gardening column called Gardening
Matters has started in the Inishowen Independent, out every
Tuesday. Local gardener Ian Gomersall will be recruiting
local experts to give advice on your prized patch. You can

SCHOOL ANNUAL CHRISTMAS FAIR
Scoil
Cholmcille Parents Association in Greencastle are holding
the Annual Christmas Fair
On Thursday 06 December from 7.30 - 9 pm in the General
Purpose Room of the School.
The
Fair has been organised to coincide with the Switch On of
the Christmas Lights in the village.
There
will be a range of festive activities including Lucky Dip,
Homebaking, a Tuck Shop, Christmas Raffle and complimentary
tea and coffee. Everyone is welcome to come along and support
this event as all proceeds go towards the school.
The
Raffle prizes are as follows:
1st
- Nintendo DS, including two games and an accessory pack
2nd - a Christmas Hamper
3rd - Portable Stereo and CD
There will also be a variety of runner up prizes and door
prizes on the night.
Donations
of homebaking, lucky dips and items for sale are welcome
and can be left at the school up to 3 pm and from 6 pm onwards
on Thursday 06 December.
The
support of pupils, parents, family members, friends and
the wider community would be greatly appreciated.
Inishowen Country Market.
Dates for the Country Market for August,
September & October are as follows: Aug 25th, Sept 8th
& 22nd, Oct 6th & 20th.
Inishowen Country Market are currently seeking new members
to join the group. The market takes place every 2nd Saturday
in the C of I hall, Church St. Buncrana from 2 - 3 pm.
If you have any home produced goods for sale, you would
be very welcome. Items currently produced for the market
include: jams, chutneys, home baking, vegetables, eggs,
quiches, lasagne and crafts. More of the above items are
needed to satisfy current demand and new ideas are always
welcome.
To join, just drop in to the market on any of the above
dates and talk to any member.
