is a family run business situated at the top of Bridge
St, and was formally known as 'Packies' Newsagency for
many years. Patrick (Packie) H. Doherty senior, father
of the present owner set up business in this shop in 1928.
For many years and indeed recently, it was one of the
leading grocery stores in the town of Carndonagh.
We currently trade as Newsagents, Lotto agent, Bookseller
and Tobacconists. We also stock a large and varied range
of postcards for visitors and greeting cards for all occasions
including premier names such as Carlton etc.
Customers are always welcome to browse through our large
& varied stock of Hard-Back and Paperback books including
'up to date' best sellers.

large selection of call cards (for telephone and mobile phones)
are always available, i.e. Speakeasy, Ready to Go, Switchcom,
Spirit & Celtel.

If
you want to be a millionaire, play 'Lotto', draws takes place
every Wednesday and Saturday at 7:45pm. To date we have had
three lucky Lotto winners plus a winner of a car on the ever-popular
'Scratch Cards'. 'Telly Bingo' cards are also available, the
latest time for purchase is 6:30pm on Tuesdays.
Books of
special interest to the visitor would be 'The Carndonagh Book';
'Inishowen', books by local author/historian Brian Bonner and
local author Hazel Mc.Intyre. Those looking for ideas for building
a new home can purchase 'The Book of House Plans by local architect
Harold Mc.Guinness. If we don't have the book you want in stock,
we guarantee to have a copy within days.
