Retirement Function a dance in honour of retiring St.Bridget’s NS Glenmakee Principal Mary McGeoghan will be held in the Ballyliffin Lodge and Spa Hotel on Sunday 28th June. Buffet served at 8pm. An Evening of Spiritual Music with Kathy O’Hara will be held in the Plaza Buncrana at 8.30pm on Friday July 3rd. Tickets €10 can be purchased at the door.

Blood Donation clinic will take place in Carndonagh Community School on Wednesday 8th July from 3pm-4.45pm and 7pm – 9pm and on Thursday 9th July from 2pm – 4.45pm and from 7pm – 9pm. You could save a life!!!

"'Razzmatazz Robots' is a Holiday Club for children of National School age. The Club will be run in the new Greenbank Hall at Quigley's Point from Monday 6th July to Friday 10th July. The times are 6:30pm to 8:30pm. The Club will include drama, crafts, puppets, singing, stories and much much more. A bus will run each evening from Malin and Carn. If you want to secure a seat for your child please phone or text Annette on 087 6131767. The Club is free of charge and the bus costs 3 Euro per night. All children of National School age are very welcome."
The Chairman of the Inishowen Regional Care of the Aged, Patrick Lynch, has asked for Emergency Response/Security Phones to be unplugged during lightening storms. People should make themselves aware of the location of the electric socket and if there is any doubt as to where it is located you should now check with a family member or with your home help so that the plug is easily accessed when required.
Aware Depression Support Group will meet in the Nursing Unit, Maginn Avenue Buncrana on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at 7.30pm. The next meeting is on Monday 22nd June.

A one day retreat for Senior Citizens and their friends will take place at the Carmelite Retreat Centre, Termonbacca, Derry on Wednesday 1st July for those from Derry and Donegal. Registration from 10.30 a.m. finishing around 5.00 p.m. Cost £15stg or €18 Euro includes a four course lunch. Payment at the Centre on the day. Carmelite Pilgrimage to Knock, Sunday 19th July 2009. Coach leaves Termonbacca at 7.45a.m. with pick a up point at Melmount Centre at 8.15a.m. Returning to Derry at approx.11.00 pm. Carn FC Notes – WC Monday 15th June 2009-06-05 Carn U18’s beat Moville last Friday 5-3 with goals coming from Shane Doherty G (2), Ryan Mc Laughlin HB (2) and Ronan Doherty (N). Carn senior ladies play in the FAI Intermediate Cup on Sunday at St Patricks Park against Ash Rovers from Galway. The game kicks off at 3pm and it would be good if the locals could come out and support the team.
