St. Josephs Young Priests Society Annual Pilgrimage to Knock will
take place on the 28th June. This pilgrimage is open to anyone, you

Engaged? Getting married within the next year? An Engaged encounter
Weekend is a recognised form of marriage preparation in is a communication
workshop designed for couples preparing for marriage. The weekend
in non-residential and will take place in the Thornhill Centre, Derry

Derry Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes led by Bishop Lagan DD takes
place 16 – 21 July. Fare £449. Booking forms available in Parochial

The Diocesan will also be taking a youth group, aged 20-35, to experience
these days of celebration.
Donegal Action for Cancer – North Inishowen Branch Meeting on Tuesday
20th May 2008 at 7.30pm in the Wesley Hall, Carndonagh. Please lend
your support to our campaign to improve and retain cancer services
at Letterkenny Hospital
One Day Retreat to Lough Derg on Saturday 24th May. Pick up Carndonagh

The monthly devotions, in honour of Our Lady, will take place in the
Carmelite Retreat Centre, Termonbacca, Derry on Tuesday 20th May starting
with confessions at 7.30 p.m. followed by Rosary and Mass, finishing
around10.00 p.m. All are welcome to attend
Irish Blood Transfusion Service is coming to Carndonagh Community
School on Wednesday May 21, from 3 – 4.45pm & 7 - 9.30pm and on
Thursday May 22 from 2- 4.45pm and 7 – 9.30pm. Blood donors are always
needed. If you are not a blood donor already, please think about coming
along to our clinic. If you are already a donor come again and bring
a friend.
Blowing in the Wind The pupils of St. Patrick’s Girls’ N.S. under
the direction of their teachers and visiting artist, Mhairi Sutherland,
have been busy for the past week creating works of art with the theme
“Blowing in the Wind”, for an art exhibition which is now on display
in Supervalu.
Host Families for Spanish Students due to visit Carndonagh in July
are urgently required. Students will attend school daily Monday –
Friday and host families will get an allowance of 185 euro per week.

PLC Course in Carndonagh Community School has a few places available
in Business Administration with Tourism in the academic year 08/09
(FETAC Level 5). The course consists of modules in Administration,
word and text processing, accounting, spreadsheets, databases and
communications. Local work placement is included. PLC students may
also repeat Leaving Cert Maths, during this course. This course will
be of interest to Students with a Leaving Cert who wish to progress
to Third level but who have inadequate CAO points, individuals who
wish to improve employment chances and Mature student wishing to return

Inishowen Gardening Club Plant Sale will be held on Monday 26th May
at 7pm in Wesley Hall, Carndonagh. Come along for some great bargains
in plants and garden sundries
Outing to Dunmore House, Carrigans on Sunday, 8th June. Bus will leave
from the Diamond, Carndonagh at 2pm. For further enquiries or to book

at the April meeting were given a Dahlia plant. They will bring in
3 blooms to the September meeting which will be judged by the guest
speaker that night.
Alzheimer’s Tea day in the Wesley Hall, proceeds amounted to 1145.50
euro. Thanks to Carndonagh Active Retirement who ran this event and
to all the people who supported it.
The Carndonagh Parents Committee are running a “Fun Day” in the Gym
on Sunday 25th May from 2- 5 pm. Come along and get your face painted,
score that penalty goal, relax to the live music, get your fortune
told, buy that bargain at the car boot sale, forget the diet and enjoy
the light tea and refreshments and afterwards, work it all of in the
bouncy castle. Something for all the family so come along and enjoy!!!
Inishowen Wildlife Club will host a talk and slide show, on the Corncrake
in Inishowen, presented by Sandy Alcorn. Donegal Corncrake Field Worker,
at 8.30pm on Friday night. 23rd May in Dunree Fort, with the prospects
of a walk after in the local area, where the bird may be heard (weather

Dances of Universal Peace come to Donegal Senior dance teachers from
Holland Noor McGuigan and Akbar Helweg will lead a weekend workshop
entitled Greening with Life at the Centre for Peace and Reconciliation,
Linsfort, near Buncrana, from the 23rd-25th May. Fully residential
fee is 190 euro, Friday evening only is 12 euro, Saturday only 50
